Charge per Units is a uniform tariff plan for calls and SMS in Latvia and throughout Europe. If you subscribe to this tariff plan, your monthly bill will include the standard subscription charge of €9.49 and an additional charge for the service units you’ve used during the month in question. Incoming calls and SMS if you are in Latvia or anywhere in Europe are free of charge.

The starter kit contains a SIM card and initial credit with a credit expiry term.
You will also receive additional time to receive incoming calls and text messages after your credit or its expiry term run out.
If the credit has not been used up during the specified period, it will be saved on your account and when you next top up your credit, it will be added to the by which you have topped up your credit. However, expiry terms do not accumulate.
If your card credit has been used up or its expiry term has run out and you have not recharged your credit, the card will not be completely deactivated just yet – you will be able to receive calls and text message for another two months, as well as to call the Zelta Zivtiņa 24 hour information hotline 1656. If you don’t top up your credit during these two months, then the card will be deactivated, but your number will be saved within the system for another three months.
If you use data transmission while you’re in EU/EEZ countries, then internet is available for EU/EEZ surcharge tariff of (EUR 0.0605/MB).
Minimum charge for any service used while roaming is € 0,01.
Popular networks: Tele2, ZZ, LMT, Amigo, Bite, Lattelecom.
The Tele2 network also includes calls and SMS messages to Zelta Zivtiņa users.
Unpopular networks are other local networks for which separate billing rates are not defined.
Video call tariffs are the same as standard call tariffs.
MBs included in the daily mobile internet price are valid until 24.00 of the day in question.
After using up the amount included in the daily price, the minimum data transmission session charge is: EUR 0.01.
All tariffs shown include 21% VAT.

Overseas, operator search occurs automatically for mobile phones, but not all operators provide communications for Zelta Zivtiņa. Therefore, you may have to choose your operator manually.
When arriving in any country, you will automatically receive an SMS, specifying the ROAMING tariffs for outgoing calls, text messages and the Internet.
Regardless of the country you are in, the tariffs of different operators are the same! While ROAMING, use automatic network search. Your phone will automatically be registered in the best available network.
Roaming tariffs are the same in one country among all networks
Roaming outside EU/EEA contries:
- tariffication of outcoming call per full minutes;
- tariffication of incoming call per full minutes;
- the data transmission increment is 10 KB.
From EU/ EEA countries:
- to EU and EEZ countries, the outcoming call billing minimum is for the first 30 seconds, with one second increments thereafter; To other countries the outcomming call billing - per full minutes;
- the data transmission increment is 1 kB.

EU Roaming Regulation III – Alternative Roaming Service Providers (ARS)
All European mobile communications operations are obliged to provide alternative roaming service providers with the opportunity to provide their customers with roaming services after receiving the corresponding request from the alternative roaming service provider. Upon receiving a request from an alternative roaming service provider, Tele2 will provide its customers with the option to access the alternative roaming service provider’s EU regulated voice, text message and data roaming services.
Tele2 customers will be able (using their existing Tele2 SIM card) to choose the alternative roaming service provider’s roaming offer, which provides roaming services in EU/EEA countries.
Tele2 has retained the option for its customers to conveniently use roaming services in EU/EEA countries, as well as in other countries around the world under the current agreement.
ARS service availability
An alternative roaming service provider that wants to offer its roaming services to Tele2 customers (including Zelta Zivtiņa users) must firstly conclude an alternative roaming service provider’s wholesale agreement with Tele2 (Inland Service Provider (ISP)). Alternative roaming services are available for ZZ and Tele2 customers.
If the alternative roaming service provider’s agreement with Tele2 is suspended, the customer’s agreement with the alternative roaming service provider will also be terminated.
Payments to service providers
Customers can switch to an alternative roaming service provider free of charge, and also switch from one alternative roaming service provider to another free of charge, or switch back to Tele2.
A customer that concludes a roaming agreement with an alternative roaming service provider will be billed directly for all regulated services (international roaming connections within EU/EEA borders) by the relevant alternative roaming service provider.
Independently of the agreement with the alternative roaming service provide, the customer will receive an invoice for national and international communications and for EU non-regulated roaming services (international roaming communications outside the EU/EEA, value added services such as premium charge calls) will be issued Tele2, unless the agreement with the alternative roaming service provider contains specific provisions in relation to EU non-regulated roaming services

Applying to use an alternative roaming service provider
To start using the services of an alternative roaming service provider, the customer must sign an agreement. The agreement with the alternative roaming service provider may be for a fixed term or indefinite. From the time that this agreement is signed and until such time as the service is activated for the customer, Tele2 will continue to provide the customer with roaming services.
Activation of the alternative roaming service provider’s offer takes up to one business day.
Only the person who is the authorised (legally responsible) user of the connection is entitled to choose an alternative roaming service provider.
If the customer chooses to conclude a separate roaming agreement with an alternative roaming service provider, this has no bearing on the general contractual terms and conditions of the agreement signed between Tele2 and the customer. If the customer has signed an agreement with an alternative roaming service provider, Tele2 is no longer responsible for the provision of EU regulated roaming service (roaming services within EU/EEA borders) to the customer.
Revoking the use of an alternative roaming service provider
If the customer has started to use the offer of a single alternative roaming service provider, and chooses to use another alternative roaming service provider’s offer, the service shall be provided by the last activated alternative roaming service provider.
If the customer wants to terminate its agreement with an alternative roaming service provider, the customer must notify its alternative roaming service provider accordingly. Tele2 is not entitled to suspend the agreement between the alternative roaming service provider and an alternative roaming service user.
Changing your mobile communications operator Latvia
If the customer changes its local mobile communications operator, this could affect the customer’s agreement with the alternative roaming service provider regarding the access to services provided for under this agreement.
Responsibility of customers
To conclude and terminate contractual relations with an alternative roaming service provider.
To identify and contact the customer service of the chosen roaming service provider, in order to ask questions related to specific services provided by the alternative roaming service provider.
To evaluate the financial terms and service availability risks, before choosing an alternative roaming service provider. The customer is personally liable for costs or losses that may arise during the use of the services of an alternative roaming service provider.
This duty applies to telecommunications service providers that provide roaming services to so-called inland service provider (ISP).
EU Roaming Regulation III – Local Direct Data Access Roaming (LDDAR)
Starting from 1 July 20141, Tele22 customers will have direct access to data roaming services within their chosen roaming mobile communications operator’s network in an EU/EEA country.
Tele2 customers will be able (using their existing Tele2 SIM card) to choose another local mobile communications service provider’s direct access to a data service in EU/EEA countries outside Latvia.
VAvailability of LDDAR services
Tele2 customers may only use direct access data services within the networks of roaming operators, with whom Tele2 has signed a cooperation agreement in regard to roaming services.

If the roaming agreement between Tele2 and the roaming service provider is terminated, provision of access for the customer to local direct data services will also be terminated.
Payments to the service provider
Customers can change local direct data access service providers free of charge.
The customer will be billed for the use of local direct data access services by the roaming operator, within whose network these services are used.
In turn, the customer will be billed for its use of other roaming services by Tele2 or the alternatives roaming service provider, if such has been activated.
How do I use one?
Applying to use local direct data access services while roaming
To start using the service, the customer must sign an agreement with a local direct data access service provider, manually register on the chosen service provider’s network and change the data device’s internet settings as required. If the customer has any questions or queries, he should contact the relevant service provider.
If the roaming network is changed, roaming services, including the data transmission service will be provided by Tele2 or the alternative roaming service provider, if such has been activated.
Only the person who is the authorised (legally responsible) user of the connection is entitled to choose to use the services of local direct data access provider.
If the customer chooses to conclude an agreement with a local direct data access provider, this has no bearing on the general contractual terms and conditions of the agreement signed between Tele2 and the customer.
Revoking the use of LBO services
The local direct data access provider ceases to provide services upon the expiry of the term specified in the service agreement. To restart using data transmission with Tele2, the customer must reset the Tele2 data transmission settings on his data device.
Changing your mobile communications operator Latvia
If the customer changes its local mobile communications operator, this could affect the customer’s agreement with the local direct data access service provider regarding the access to services provided for under this agreement.
