The day has arrived! You are now amongst the circle of friends that is Zelta Zivtiņa! You are holding in your hand a yellow packet containing pictures of the fun-loving characters from the Zelta Zivtiņa sitcom and can’t quite figure out what to do next. Don’t you worry – you’re among friends now. And the main thing is: you’re one of us now! Here are the first steps that will help you start using the Zelta Zivtiņa card:
- Use the nimbleness of your fingers to prise the SIM card from the plastic card it is attached to and insert it into your phone.
- Switch on the phone.
- Once Tele2 appears as the operator on your phone display, along with the other display information (battery charge level and reception status), your phone is ready for use.
- In order to activate the card, you must call an eight-digit number (it doesn’t matter if it’s Mum or your buddies). During the call, you will have to select the language that will be used for all future system announcements. Once you have done that, you will be put through to the number you were calling. Chat for at least 10 seconds – that is what it takes to activate your card. Incoming calls will become available some 20 minutes after your first call.
Important! The first call MUST be a number that is NOT a Tele2 service number (e.g.,588, 600, 656) or any other toll-free number, or else no incoming calls will be activated for your Zelta Zivtiņa.

- If you wish to use the internet on your phone, first make sure that your phone supports GPRS or 3G data transmission. If that is the case, text the letter G to 8888 and you will receive a text message containing settings that you have to save on your phone. After that, it’s nothing but surfing …
